Scene 3: Final Clip

This is the final scene all put together. As you can see, it differs quite dramatically from the original animatic in terms of order of shots and the addition of new shots.

I think that this shot works very well as a device to push the narrative, introduce the Familiar properly, and reveal the outside world. It differs greatly from the original animatic regarding shot order and new shots being created and added, but I think that these changes were definitely a much needed improvement. The original animatic was no where near long enough, and it lacked depth and substance in terms of the forest setting. The new shots that I've added have definitely improved on the film - I'll use these shots in later scenes using different colours to signify the changing time of day. As well as this, it was this scene that made me realise that I want the film to be set during the Autumn. I'm glad I've come to this conclusion as it will help me to make more informed and quicker decisions about in the future concerning my film's contents.
