Scene 3: Forest Light

I decided that this scene didn't have enough shots of the forest. It didn't properly showcase the magic and beauty of her environment so I decided to come up with a few other shots to help fill the scene out and show the audience what sort of place she's living in.

I think that this is such a lovely still of the shot I came up with. I didn't want to waste time with adding it to the animatic, I knew that it would work, so I just went ahead with creating it. I wanted to add lots of light to this shot as I knew it would act as a transition scene and she had just come from the deep forest.
This is the final shot that will be in the film. I'm really pleased with how it looks. I think it's so beautiful and it's going to work really well as a transition scene. I think I may recycle it for later on in the film as a night time scene. I like my use of the birch trees that I saw in the Botanic Gardens and the colours I've used are lovely and Autumnal. I didn't want to have the witch and the Familiar in this scene as I didn't want to distract from the beauty of the forest. Plus, the audience already know that she's travelling somewhere - she doesn't have to be in shot all the time.
