Scene 5: Sunset Trees

Following on from the last shot, the next appropriate one would be the 6 trees if they're travelling back home the same way as they came.

Original Trees

This is the original shot that I wanted to change the colours of.

Sunset Trees

This is the new shot with the colour changes. I think that it's absolutely lovely. I really like the colours that I've used and the gradient works really well on the sky. The peachy colours contrast very nicely with the darker tones of purple and mauve. In regards to the animation, I'll have the witch and the Familiar in deer form walking the opposite way they came, from left to right this time.

This is the final version for the film. As well as the witch and Familiar's walk cycles, I animated the sky turning from sunset to nearly night time. I think that this works really well as the next scene I intend for it to be night time. I'm still very happy with the transparent effect on the Familiar, it looks lovely and ethereal - it's not too much either.
