These are my secondary character designs for the witch. I decided to stick with the short hair, hoop earrings and freckles. I like where this version of the witch is going but I want to explore some other skin tones and hair colours. I'm also going to explore her outfits - I'm not sure whether to make her clothes very 'normal' or to go with a more mystical 'witchy' forest spirit vibe. I'm going to experiment a bit and see how I feel.

I like her extended proportions - makes her more stylised and easier to animate.
Perhaps she wears different outfits for different scenes?
More traditional clothing ideas, dresses, hats and capes. Black clothing?
Always has hoop earrings. Bardot top? More modern.
More of a 'nomad' way of looking - better and more practical for living in the forest.

Still not sure about the hat, but I do like the idea of having some sort of plants/foliage on her to show her connection to nature.
Gem on her forehead to link her to the familiar? Do they both have one? White hair and eyes?
I like the idea of her using a staff - maybe when the familiar is an owl it likes to sit on it.
Collared cape - I need to experiment with colour palettes.
No wand, she makes magic with her hands.
Symbols and runes on her clothing?
She is always barefoot - it makes her feel more in tune with the earth.
Loose fitting trousers for practicality purposes - I also like the idea of 3/4 leggings.
I need to decide what sort of outfit she's going to wear. I'm torn between something normal such as jeans and a t-shirt or something mystical and nomadic like the sketch above. I also need to experiment with colour palettes.
