Story Board 2: The Familiar

I always wanted to use this scene to introduce the fact that her cat isn't just a cat - he's an extraordinary being as well. I thought that this could be the first time you see the familiar change form but I suppose it could be used at any point in the film to show case his powers.

Familiar 1

- Establishing shot of forest, symmetry and repetition, maybe use this with other colours for seasons. Witch and familiar walking right to left.

Familiar 2

- Cuts to another part of the forest but walk cycle stays intact, show casing different parts of the forest, different trees and colours - quick walk montage.

Familiar 3

- Quick cuts to show passage of time and how much time they spend in the forest, still walking same cycle from right to left despite change of setting.

Familiar 4

- Cut in close to trees, the familiar walks on screen from the right in cat form.

Familiar 5

- The familiar walks behind a tree and out the other side as a fox - half cat and half fox for a moment to show transformation.

Familiar 6

- The familiar comes out the other side as a fox and walks off screen to the left?
